Frequently Asked Questions

The Centralized Reporting System (CRS)

A new, online platform that allows educators to access and download student performance reports for their jurisdiction both at the district and school level.

All users registered in LaunchPad and available in TIDE may access the system; however, the information available is based on their user role. For example, LACs may access data for their whole district, and TAs may only access data for students with whom they are associated by roster. Additional information about rosters will be available in a future TIDE User Guide that will be available on the MSTAR portal.

Users may view and download district, school, and individual student score results. This includes both aggregate and individual student overall and individual score information, including performance distribution, scale scores, and percent proficiency. Reporting category performance distribution is also available.

When CRS goes live, a downloadable data file will be available within the system. This data file will allow users to download bulk student score performance results with one download for quick data access.

The Family Portal

A new, online platform that allows families to access their students’ test results as soon as they are available. Families can see how their students perform in different subject areas and where they may need additional support to help inform action and next steps for students.

The Family Portal shows a single student’s performance and is visible to the student’s family. CRS is only accessible by educators and contains performance data for all students.

For the SY26-27 Winter EOC administration, scores will be released on the following schedule in CRS to ensure that families can meaningfully interpret their students’ performance throughout the school year. LS MISA and Government scores will become available 12 days after the student has finished testing beginning on January 4, 2027. Algebra I, Algebra II, ELA Grade 10, and Geometry will become available on February 8, 2027. Additional information about score releases for the Family Portal will be available in future communications.

The Family Portal and CRS are both available in English and Spanish.

The Family Portal was specifically designed to be accessible on mobile devices so busy families do not need to be at a desktop device to view their students’ performance.

The Test Delivery System (TDS)

The Test Delivery System (TDS) consists of two components: the Test Administrator (TA) Interface and the Student Interface.

Test administrators use the TA Interface to create and manage test sessions and access the platform through LaunchPad. Students use the Student Interface within the TDS Secure Browser to access and take assessments. The Secure Browser must be installed on student devices prior to testing.
